Campbell's Soup Scalloped Potates

Great works of art

So far my car models always fit for the model railway scale 1:87 were kept, but now I'm even a trip to much larger models ventured that will not be the last - to scale 1:18.

Already a view of the offer at this scale has proven to be extremely interesting. If you lived in 1:87, that although there is a part, even the most boring current model of the German premium manufacturer, but otherwise only a few classics, the situation in the large scale is completely different. 1:18 models are collected internationally and they are partially collected by very wealthy people. Accordingly, the offer - any dream cars and each car is not even a cult, but implemented in several ways as a model. Of the Fiat 500 is pictured here are at least three reactions of Welly, Bburago (though rather 1:16) in a more favorable Minichamps form and for the noble Group, and to triple the price. What is here is what is Welly model. The AMG Mercedes SLS has also given the beautiful model Maisto Mondo Motors now his second, much better implementation. The number of Ford Mustang models can hardly grasp - no manufacturer who does not at least two variants of the U.S. has the classic range, plus a flock of tuned versions.

do the models differ in the level of detail and features. Doors that open you are, of course in 1:18, a hood as well. In the trunk or the rear doors of four-door Models then separates the wheat from the chaff already. And really it does so after looking under the hood - in this case ranging from a plastic block with a few indicated Details at Mondo Motors on all the important components as separate parts with the various lines between them at Revell up to consist of hundreds of individual parts engine at CMC.

Other minor and not so subtle differences arise in the steering, the example in my Welly model's name is hardly worth (yes, the full turn is!) Or present in higher price ranges suspension and its hardness (sometimes one is are not so sure whether the model actually has one or yields to the plastic of the axle ...).

The models are far more than just a small representation of their models - one can not always look under the hood of a 1956 Mercury Montclair, with its 258 hp engine (Sunstar) or a 1970 Opel Commodore GS / E (Revell) . throw
